Some of our main talking points:

1. MVEA has been negotiating since August on this year’s contract. The district has shown no movement on all of our reopeners leading to impasse on January 18
2. What teachers are asking for….
   1. Smaller Class Sizes
   2. Defined Working Hours
   3. Pay Commensurate with other Local School Districts
   4. Fewer Staff Meetings and Meetings Outside School Hours
3. Retention of teachers is a major concern for MVWSD- highest turnover rate 
4. Teacher working conditions has a direct correlation to student’s learning conditions
