Wow! It was incredibly inspiring to see all the educators, parents, and students who came out to support us. On Thursday 2/17, at the intersection of El Camino and Castro Street, more than 100 supporters showed up to rally for sustainable working hours, smaller class sizes, and fair compensation for our educators. The community response was heard through the many honking horns and cheers from passing cars. The Mountain View Voice and the Los Altos Town Crier also joined us to take pictures and hear directly from our educators about our concerns. (see links to their articles below)
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, it was truly energizing! And for those who were not able to join us on Thursday, worry not, because we will be rallying again, at the next Board Meeting at our District Office on March 10. Thank you community for standing in support of the educators our students deserve. In the meantime, enjoy our week off, recharge, and we look forward to more of the energy that we saw today!
We are Stronger Together. We are MVEA!
